Biografia:: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka nasce in Hokkaido e debutta come doppiatore nel 2009. Ricopre da subito diversi ruoli minori ma il vero successo arriva nel 2012 quando presta la voce a Kirito, protagonista di Sword Art Online. In quello stesso anno vince il Seiyū Award come miglior debuttante, mentre nel 2016 torna a vincere il prestigioso premio come miglior protagonista maschile. Il fandom e i colleghi doppiatori vedono di buon occhio una potenziale relazione con la collega Ai Kayano, con la quale si è trovato spesso a lavorare, ma si tratta ad oggi solo di un rapporto di amicizia. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka è molto amico del collega Nobunaga Shimazaki, i suoi hobby sono la chitarra, il canto, lo snowboard, la cucina e fare passeggiate.
