Biografia:: Yūichirō Umehara nasce nella prefettura di Shizuoka e sin da piccolo impara a suonare il piano e la chitarra. La sua passione per la musica lo spinge ad entrare in un club di musica alle elementari mentre alle medie si unisce ad una band di musica leggera nella quale ha il ruolo di cantante e chitarrista. Durante il secondo anno di università entra a far parte dell'agenzia Art Vision e debutta come doppiatore nel 2013. La fama arriva nel 2015, quando presta la voce a En Yufuin, uno dei protagonisti di Binan Kōkō Chikyū Bōei-bu Love! Umehara vince il premio come miglior debuttante alla decima edizione dei Seiyū Awards e nel 2017 viene premiato anche ai Newtype Anime Awards come miglior voce maschile. Il 10 Maggio 2018 la sua agenzia dichiara l'ospedalizzazione a causa di una Encefalomielite Acuta Disseminata, una malattia che colpisce il sistema nervoso, ma torna in attività qualche mese dopo. Tra gli hobby di Yūichirō Umehara ci sono la musica classica, il pianoforte, la chitarra e il canto.
